Here’s a new, crackling version of the famous Pass the Bomb game, in which you have to make up words from a swirl of letters, being careful to pass the bomb before it explodes in your hand!

In this game 60 letter cards, all consonants, are arranged on the table to form a spiral.
On their turn, the player takes the bomb in their hand, starts the timer and tries to find a word that contains as many letters of the vortex as possible, then passes the bomb to the next player.
But be careful, the letters used for the word must be in the very same order, starting with the outermost card. It does not matter what and how many other letters the word contains, as long as the letters shown on the cards are in the proper order. Any word is allowed, including first names, brand names and foreign words. However, each word may only be used once in the current game.

Try not to think too long, because if the ‘boom’ of the bomb sounds while you still have it in your hand, you won’t score any points that turn! And this is a real risk, because the bomb ticks for a random time between 10 and 60 seconds.

The player who invents the longest correct word wins a point and thus obtains a letter card. The game ends when all letter cards are used up. The player who has collected the most cards wins.
