The scene is an American town in the mid 1920’s. A building boom is in progress. In the suburbs new buildings are arising everywhere, and now the run-down central area, too, is to be refurbished and partly rebuilt. This has attracted a number of out of town speculators who sense an opportunity to make big deals and pocket huge profits.
The players impersonate these speculators and try, by cleverly distributing their claims, to lay their hands on the most valuable lots… without falling too deeply in debt. The game is made of 18 frenetic and pressing auctions to award the rights on the lots.
