“GIAMPAOLO DOSSENA” AWARD
FOR GAME CULTURE TO DARIO DE TOFFOLI
The “Giampaolo Dossena” Prize for Game Culture is intended to recognise those who have distinguished themselves in the field of study, research, and professional style for the development of the Culture of Game, intended in its multiple expressions.
The Award is dedicated to Giampaolo Dossena (1930-2009), the personality who has contributed most in Italy both to studies on the philology of the game, and to the establishment of the cultural value of the gaming dimension.
On 18 May 2024 this prize was awarded to Dario De Toffoli, for his significant contribution to the enhancement of the game on a scientific-cultural and professional level, on the occasion of Play, the Modena Game Festival.
Speakers included Ennio Bilancini (Director of the Game Science Reearch Centre), Roberto Farnè (‘Università di Bologna’ and President of the commission), Maresa Bertolo (Politecnico di Milano) and of course our very proud and excited Dario De Toffoli.
